The Programmes
From sixth form to the most selective examinations, each programme corresponds to a precise stage of the French scientific cursus.
A programme is not a product. It is a promise — that of adapting the method to the singular situation of a pupil, a family, an examination calendar. None is offered without a prior assessment.
Lycée — Scientific Excellence
Annual or termly tuition for pupils in Seconde, Première and Terminale, aimed at distinction at the Baccalauréat and entry into the most selective post-baccalauréat programmes.
For whom
- Pupils in Seconde, Première, Terminale (Years 10–13)
- Specialisations in Mathematics, Physics-Chemistry, Computer Science (NSI)
- Families seeking distinction (mention Très Bien) and entry into classes préparatoires, medicine or Sciences Po
Modalities
- 1 to 3 weekly sessions of 90 minutes to 2 hours
- Home tuition (French Riviera) or high-definition videoconference
- Annual or termly engagement, with a monthly progress report addressed to parents
Objectives
- Distinction (Très Bien) or Excellence at the Baccalauréat
- Deep mastery of the scientific specialisations
- Orientation prepared towards classes préparatoires, post-baccalauréat engineering schools (INSA, UTC, Polytech, IPSA), medicine or Sciences Po
- Acquisition of a working method transferable to higher education
Distinction Track & International Baccalaureates
Intensive support for Terminale pupils aiming for excellence in their final examinations — French Baccalauréat with distinction, IB, A-Level, Advanced Placement.
For whom
- Terminale pupils targeting 18+/20 in mathematics and physics
- Pupils on international curricula (IB, A-Level, AP)
- Candidates for selective post-baccalauréat programmes (Sciences Po, Dauphine, international engineering schools)
Modalities
- Intensive programme over the Terminale year
- Focus on high-coefficient papers — mathematics, scientific specialisations, Grand Oral
- Short intensives during school holidays
Objectives
- Distinction or Excellence
- Strategy for the written papers
- Preparation and structuring of the Grand Oral
- Preparation for international school interviews where relevant
Classes Préparatoires (French intensive science programmes)
Specific support for pupils in the demanding two-year cycle leading to the Grandes Écoles. Weekly tuition, supervision of khôlles (oral examinations), correction of mock papers, supervision of TIPE projects.
For whom
- MPSI, MP, MP*, PCSI, PC, PSI, BCPST
- Lycées of Nice, Monaco and the wider French Riviera
- Distance preparation for boarders or pupils based outside the region
Modalities
- Weekly tuition of 90 minutes to 2.5 hours according to programme
- Correction of mock examinations and preparation of khôlles
- Specific work on the TIPE project (framing, methodology, defence)
Objectives
- Admission to a target school (Mines-Ponts, Centrale-Supélec, X-ENS, CCINP)
- Psychological stability and endurance over two years
- Smooth transition into the examination phase
- Mastery of the official syllabus and expected classics
Preparation for the Grandes Écoles
Targeted preparation for candidates to the most demanding entrance examinations of the French elite scientific programmes. Written training on original problems, dedicated oral preparation, full-scale simulation under examination conditions.
For whom
- Pupils in their second preparatory year (5/2, 3/2, 7/2)
- Independent post-prépa candidates preparing a re-sit
- Pupils targeting the most selective examinations — X-ENS, Mines-Ponts, Centrale-Supélec
Modalities
- Written training on Mines-Ponts, Centrale, Polytechnique, ENS Ulm, ENS Lyon, CCINP papers
- Specific oral preparation — TP, ADS, presentations, oral planches
- Simulation of orals under realistic conditions (duration, panel, blackboard)
Objectives
- Mastery of the classics of each examination
- Time management and strategy on long papers
- Performance at ENS and X-ENS orals
- TIPE projects of a level commensurate with the Grandes Écoles
PASS / L.AS — Medical Studies
Targeted support for students engaged in the French medical pathway — PASS or L.AS — on the quantitative units (mathematics, physics, biophysics) which often determine the final ranking.
For whom
- Students in PASS (specific access pathway to medicine)
- Students in L.AS (degree with health pathway)
- Candidates preparing a re-sit (LAS 2)
Modalities
- Weekly or bi-weekly sessions according to urgency
- Focus on the quantitative units of the PASS curriculum
- Intensives during examination periods
Objectives
- Securing the quantitative units (mathematics, physics, biophysics)
- Maintaining a ranking allowing access to MMOPK fields
- Methodology specific to the dynamics of medical studies
- Strategy for allocating study time across disciplines
Comparative Table
Fees are quoted privately following the initial assessment. The Méthode Riviera privileges the quality of the engagement over the mechanics of registration.
